Celebration of Valentine’s Day in the Religion Islam

The most awaited month of the year in February and in February the 14th date is most awaited. With the arrival of February, people start gossips about the Day of Valentine which is celebrated in the name of love. This event is celebrated all over the world with full eagerness and happiness. Muslims have distinct doubts towards valentine day. In the Islamic countries such as Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran etc. the majority of Muslims doesn’t celebrate this day.

Muslims prefer to avoid this day and spend their day in Islamic worships such as some people keeps fast, some offer Nafls and even some people move towards the holy land of Saudi Arabia and Book Hajj Packages 2019 with Islamic Travel to perform the religious duty. Everybody has its own ideology regarding this day or other days.

But in the Islamic nations, few numbers of people also celebrate this day with the name of broad-mindedness and spiritual freedom. The Holy Quran teaching academies who communicate to Western Muslims suggested them not to have fun on this day.

Valentine’s Day and Holy Quran

According to Holy Book of Qurans, the Book which speaks the truth and error-free book.

• “Guide us to the Righteous Way, the way of those on whom You have given Your Elegance, not (the way) of those who earned Your Fury, nor of those who went afield.” (Holy Quran: 1:6-7)

• “O, you who have faith in, do not take the Jews and the Christians as partners. They are (in fact) partners of one another. And whoever is a friend to them between you then certainly, he is (one) of them. Truly, Allah guides not the misconduct people.” (Holy Quran: 5:51)

Now the Muslim wants to ask, whether the Day of Valentine, the celebration is the Righteous Way? Is it the path on which the prior Muslims followed? Is it the way that will lead to sacred signs from Allah the Almighty?

The response to all these above questions is a big ‘No’. The Islam religion doesn’t allow the Muslims to celebrate this day with Non-Mahram women just for sake of worldly trend. For Muslims, every day is a Day of Love.
